Masue Li MD

Masue Li, MD has recently joined DuKane Obstetrics & Gynecology (Dr. Stewart Odell, Dr. David Aguiar, Dr. Jennifer Lew, and Dr. James Lee) as its newest associate. Dr. Li is originally from Lambertville , Michigan . She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science; she continued at UM for medical school before transferring to the University of Illinois , where she finished her medical training while serving as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Li is a licensed physician and surgeon in the State of Illinois , a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology since 2002, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Li has been in private practice in the western suburbs since 2000. She is married and the mother of three children: two boys ages 5 and 4, and a 4-month-old baby girl.

When asked what motivated her to choose OB/GYN as her specialty, Dr. Li spoke about how much she values caring for women through the many phases of their lives. “My practice is a blend of Primary Care and Obstetrics & Gynecology,” says Dr. Li. “I enjoy getting to know my patients and building a relationship like a partnership, based on trust and respect. I like to take the time to really understand each woman's needs and expectations.”

Dr. Li explained that most women make their first visit to a gynecologist when they decide to become sexually active or for their first pap smear at age 21. However, teenage girls may be referred earlier to a gynecologist if they are experiencing abnormal menstrual cycles, such as heavy bleeding or intense cramping.

Beata Bialon-Oster DPM

Dr. Beata Bialon-Oster has joined Dr. Ken Jacoby's podiatric practice, the Elgin Foot and Ankle Center at 750 Fletcher Drive, Suite 300 . She will be using Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center for her patients' podiatric surgery procedures.

Dr. Bialon-Oster received her degree in podiatric medicine from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago in 2006, and completed her residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood in 2009.

Dr. Bialon-Oster treats a large array of foot disorders, including:

• Bunions
• Hammertoes
• Heel Pain
• Ingrown and problematic toenails
• Preventative Foot Care
• Diabetic Foot Care
• Foot and Ankle Sports Injuries

“I enjoy and feel it is important to educate my patients regarding their foot health,” says Dr. Bialon-Oster. “I really focus on developing a good relationship with my patients so that I can determine the best treatment plan for them to provide the best comprehensive foot and ankle care.”

Born and raised in Chicago by her Polish immigrant parents, Dr. Bialon-Oster speaks Polish fluently. She is happily married and a pet-lover, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Pang Hsung Lu

In practice for more than 30 years, Dr. Pang Hsung Lu, MD has long been recognized as the premier provider of interventional pain management in the Fox Valley . He is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist with Pain Specialty. He is also a distinguished member of the Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (F.I.P.P.), a distinction shared by only about 600 members worldwide; and diplomat of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (A.B.I.P.P.)

Dr. Lu's patients know that when they are referred to him for difficult pain problems that have not been alleviated by more conservative therapies, they can expect a comprehensive, expert course of treatment:

• A thorough medical history
• Physical examination
• Review of past diagnostic studies and treatments
• Development of an effective and appropriate treatment plan

With next month's planned opening of the new Geneva Pain Clinic at 1000 Randall Rd, Suite 225 (previous home of the Kane County Chronicle) in Geneva , Dr. Lu will be able to provide patients these individualized and comprehensive plans and care all in one facility. Providing complete pain services in the new center will reduce patient cost and thus benefit both patients and their healthcare insurers. More extensive treatments requiring specialized equipment will be provided through Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center at 2210 Dean Street in St. Charles.
